Claire is Senior Lecturer at Liverpool Hope University. Her research interests include media industries, American cinema, entertainment media, nature and animal ethics. She is the author of Memento (Edinburgh University Press, 2010) and Popular Media and Animals (Palgrave Macmillan, 2011) and co-editor of Beyond Human: From Animality to Transhumanism (Continuum, 2011) and the collection American Independent Cinema: Indie, Indiewood and Beyond (Routledge, 2012).
